SALT SHED is Chicago’s Newest Live Venue | “WEED love to go!”

by | Feb 17, 2023

Chicago’s newest live music venue opened its doors last year..

and the nuEra fam is so excited because with only a 5-minute walk to the venue, nuEra Chicago is the perfect pre-concert shop stop.

Pre-rolls, vape carts, edibles and more…nuEra Chicago is ready for the slate of new indoor shows starting Saturday, February 18th (Tove Lo, unfortunately, had to postpone her Feb. 17th show which was the debut of the indoor venue space).

Located outside, and now inside, the former Morton Salt warehouse on the North Branch of the Chicago River near Goose Island, last year’s short-run of heavy-hitting shows proved that people were ready to GET SALTY! The Salt Shed, 1357 N. Elston Ave., is part of a development on the site that includes the music venue and office space.

The venue is operated by 16″ On Center, the hospitality group that owns venus like Empty Bottle, Thalia Hall, and other venues and restaurants around the Chicago area.

In addition to music, the outdoor shows have featured local vendors like Cafe Tola and Pizza Friendly Pizza, as well as Semicolon Books and Record Breakers. The total capacity for the outdoor space is about 4,000 people.
