Our DeKalb Location
Located at 818 W Lincoln Hwy Space #7, DeKalb, IL 60115, our new store, previously the home of Book World, offers a prime location right across from the Northern Illinois University campus. This 4,834 square-foot space will soon transform into a hub for high-quality cannabis products.
Breaking Ground
The groundbreaking ceremony took place on Monday, November 13th, at 10 AM, at the future site of nuEra Cannabis. It was a moment we had eagerly anticipated, and we were thrilled to share it with our DeKalb neighbors.
City officials Dan Olson, Planning Director, and Bill Nicklas, City Manager, attended the event.

What to Expect
We expect to officially open our doors in February 2024. As one of Illinois’ pioneers in the cannabis market, nuEra is committed to providing DeKalb with a wide array of top-quality cannabis products. Our DeKalb store will feature nuEra’s house of brands, including nuEra premium, INTERSTATE 420, Midweek Friday, and RisEau.

Community and Commitment
At nuEra, we’re not just about business; we’re about community. We are dedicated to giving back to the community in various ways. In 2021, we donated $100,000 to the Illinois Valley Community College’s cannabis production certification program and plan to provide opportunities for interns and apprentices to students from the nearby universities. We are also committed to sourcing our staff from Disproportionately Impacted Areas (DIAs and partnering with minority- and women-owned businesses for ancillary services.

This has been a long time coming, and we could not be more excited.”

The name “nuEra” reflects the transformative impact of cannabis legalization in Illinois. We believe in a safer, higher quality, and more diverse cannabis landscape than ever before. Canna-consumers now have access to a variety of consumption methods, strains, precise dosage labeling, and better information about the effects of our products than any generation before them.
