The Expert Behind nuEra’s Cultivation Excellence

Welcome to another installment of our “Meet the Team” series! Today, we’re diving deep into the heart of nuEra’s cannabis cultivation process with Andrew Robinson, our esteemed Cultivation Director. In this interview, Andrew sheds light on his passion for cannabis, the uniqueness of nuEra, and the future of cannabis cultivation.

Andrew’s Role and Journey at nuEra

Hi Andrew! Can you tell us a bit about your role at nuEra?

Andrew: Absolutely. I’m the Cultivation Director at nuEra. This means I oversee everything from cultivation, trimming, to harvesting. My journey starts from the plant’s clone stage and goes all the way until it’s hung and dried.

nuEra’s Distinct Approach to Cannabis Cultivation

What do you believe sets nuEra apart from other cultivators?

Andrew: First and foremost, our team. We’ve fostered a family environment over the years, with many dedicated team members who’ve been with us for five, even six years. They genuinely care about this place, and I think that’s our biggest strength. Additionally, our genetics are unique. We’re always bringing in exciting new strains and sticking true to the OG strains. It’s a mix of heritage and innovation that makes us stand out in the cannabis industry.

The Art of Strain Hunting

Could you dive deeper into the process of hunting new strains?

Andrew: Sure thing! Strain hunting, in essence, is all about planting numerous seeds and then selecting the best one based on specific criteria. This could be for flavor, yield, or even terpene profiles which influence smell. For instance, with Cobra Milk, one of my favorite strains, I hunted it specifically for its distinct flavor. I examined hundreds of seeds from the same genetics to find the best flavor profile.

Exciting Developments in nuEra’s Cultivation Process

What recent changes in nuEra are you most excited about?

Andrew: The environmental upgrades we’ve made to the facility have been significant. We’ve dialed in environments to ensure our plants are happier, leading to higher quality products. Looking ahead, I’m thrilled about our greenhouse expansion. We’re planning to add another 80,000 square feet of cultivation space, which means more premium flower and a wider variety of strains for our customers.

Debunking Cannabis Industry Myths

There are many misconceptions about the cannabis industry. What’s one you’d like to address?

Andrew: A common misconception is that we just sit around and indulge all day. The reality couldn’t be more different. Cultivation is hard, manual labor, and requires dedication, expertise, and an artistic touch. You truly get out what you put in.

Final Insights from a Cultivation Expert

Lastly, any final words for our readers?

Andrew: Just that working with living plants is both a challenge and a joy. As the saying goes, “what you reap is what you sow.” At nuEra, we’re constantly sowing care, dedication, and expertise, and we hope our customers can taste and experience that in every product.
