From November 14 to December 24, we’re inviting our communities to join us in supporting local hunger-relief and holiday assistance organizations across Illinois. Every dollar donated at the register earns you 10 Rewards Points for every $1 donated.
And on Donation Day — December 4th — nuEra will donate 5% of all in-house brand sales to our partner organizations.
We’re proud to support a number of incredible non-profits located in the same communities we serve. Below is more information on three of the organizations that we are fundraising for this season :
Featured Organizations
1. Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry
Based in Aurora, Illinois, this food pantry was founded in 1957 and is dedicated to relieving hunger and uplifting families in need through grocery distributions, nutrition education, and community garden programs. They serve households weekly and strive to treat every guest with dignity and respect.
2. Galena Food Pantry (Galena,IL)
Operated by the United Churches of Galena in Jo-Daviess County, this pantry distributes food to local residents in need and relies on donations and volunteer support to maintain service.
3. Common Pantry (Chicago, IL)
Chicago’s oldest continually operating food pantry, offering healthy food, community support, and services that address both hunger and the root causes of poverty.
Additional Community Drives
Alongside our featured partners, several nuEra dispensaries are hosting local drives tailored to the needs of their communities. Here’s what each location is supporting:
Champaign/Urbana – Coat Busters (Champaign, IL)
A local seasonal drive collecting warm coats and winter gear to support community members facing cold-weather hardship. Donations stay within the Champaign-Urbana region to help neighbors stay warm through winter.
East Dubuque – Gift of Giving (East Dubuque, IL)
A community-driven food collection effort supporting local families during the holiday season. All donations remain in the East Dubuque area and benefit neighbors experiencing food insecurity.
Pekin – United Way for Hope Chest (Pekin, IL)
This drive supports Hope Chest through United Way, collecting food and pantry items that serve families in need throughout the Pekin area. This program relies on direct community contributions.
East Peoria – Toys for Tots (East Peoria, IL)
A nationally recognized program providing holiday gifts to children in need. The East Peoria collection ensures donated toys go directly to local families to brighten the holiday season.
East Peoria – Femme Health Morton Food Pantry (Morton, IL)
A local pantry serving women, families, and individuals throughout the Morton community. Their mission focuses on providing essential groceries and household basics with dignity and compassion.
