Dates Set for NuMed Urbana Dispensary Opening, Public Preview
Area residents, leaders to get first look at clinically-focused medical cannabis dispensary this week

- Thursday, October 20: 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Patients, Families and the General Public
For qualified Illinois patients, the grand opening and first opportunity to purchase medical cannabis products at NuMed Urbana will be Saturday, October 22 at 11:00 a.m.
“We are excited to showcase NuMed’s product offerings to patients in the Champaign/Urbana market,” said Brett Walrod, NuMed’s chief operating officer. “The maturing of the Illinois medical cannabis program, combined with growing acceptance of the medical efficacy of cannabis products and therapies, makes this an exciting time for us to be opening our doors to patients who have been waiting for our clinically-focused approach.”
NuMed Urbana will serve area patients in its over 5,000 square foot building, indicated Jayme Brewer, who will serve as NuMed’s Agent-in-Charge of the Urbana dispensary. “Our location provides the opportunity to provide relief to thousands of patients in the Champaign/Urbana area and surrounding counties. Working with top Illinois growers, access to pharmaceutical grade medication will be sourced in partnership with the highest-quality medical cannabis producers our state has to offer.”
